Food Processor

Click here to buy the same food processor that I use.

I recently replaced my 39-year-old Cuisinart food processor with a new 12-cup Cuisinart food processor. I’ll be over 100 if I am around to see if this one lasts 39 years! Here’s what I love about this food processor.

  • Heavy, powerful base and engine, like the old one

  • Simple buttons — On, Off, Pulse

  • Improved mechanism for locking the top on and taking it off

  • A 4-cup bowl and blade I can insert into the large bowl when I make small batches

Amazon often has appliances that have been returned after little or no use, offered at significant discounts. That’s how I found the one I bought — less than 50% of the listed price. It’s worth looking for those deals.

I recommend a 10-14-cup food processor.

See my blog on the different uses for blenders and food processors. They are not interchangeable. As I state there: Never make a smoothie in a food processor, or a veggie burger in a blender.
